Home / Services / Ocean Freight (FCL)
Full-container ocean freight is the backbone of every import programme we run. Confirmed vessel space, honest transit times and a rate that already includes what most forwarders bill you for later.
We specialise exclusively in Full Container Load shipping using standard 20ft and 40ft equipment. Your cargo is the only cargo in the box: it is sealed at the supplier’s facility and that seal is not broken again until it reaches you.
That matters more than it sounds. Consolidated shipments get handled repeatedly at deconsolidation warehouses, which is where damage, loss and delay concentrate. FCL removes those touchpoints entirely — and above roughly 15 cubic metres it is usually the cheaper option per unit as well.
We book directly with the carriers serving the transpacific lane, so you get real allocation on real sailings rather than a rate that evaporates when space tightens.
CHINESE PORTS SERVED
Standard dry containers, plus 40ft high-cube when your cargo cubes out before it weighs out. We advise which size actually costs you less.
Shanghai, Ningbo-Zhoushan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Tianjin, Xiamen and more — plus inland pickup feeding into any of them.
West Coast via Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland and Seattle. East and Gulf via New York/New Jersey, Savannah, Charleston, Houston and Boston.
Ocean freight, terminal handling, documentation and bunker surcharges quoted as one number so you can price your product with confidence.
18–24 days port to port on West Coast lanes, 28–35 days to East Coast. We quote the schedule we expect, not the one that sells.
Container sealed at origin, seal number recorded on the bill of lading, and optional all-risk marine cover on the full commercial value.
We confirm your cargo details, quote an all-in rate and secure allocation on a specific sailing.
An empty container is delivered to your supplier’s facility for loading and sealing.
We handle Chinese export documentation and gate the container into the terminal.
The vessel departs, you receive milestone updates, and we pre-file your US entry before arrival.
FCL means the whole container is yours; LCL means your goods share space with other importers’ cargo. LCL requires deconsolidation at destination, which adds handling, cost per cubic metre and risk of damage or mis-sorting. We focus on FCL because it is more secure, more predictable and — for the volumes our clients ship — usually cheaper per unit.
A 20ft holds roughly 28–33 CBM; a 40ft holds about 58–67 CBM, and a 40ft high-cube around 76 CBM. A 40ft rarely costs double a 20ft, so if you are above roughly 25 CBM the larger box is normally better value per unit. Send us your dimensions and weights and we’ll tell you which is cheaper for your specific load.
Port to port, expect roughly 18–24 days to West Coast ports and 28–35 days to East Coast and Gulf ports. Add around 7–12 days on either end for pickup, export clearance, US customs and inland delivery when booking a full door-to-door service.
No. We focus exclusively on sea freight in 20ft and 40ft containers, because that is where we can offer the best security and cost-efficiency for the volumes our clients import.
